The Barnyard Shoppe of Amos D. Bugg has a collection of desktop catchalls in a variety of sizes, all designed in Barbara King’s distinctive folk-art style with distressed aged painted finishes and simple hand-painted classic decorative designs. Each pine box is handcrafted in the Barnyard Shoppe with solidly constructed glued and nailed rabbeted joints, chamfered edges on the tops and bottoms, and solid brass hinges mortised for closure. The color ranges and overall “personality” of each box come from a heritage of simple country living but are at home in almost any décor from elegant antique to contemporary styles. Each box is designed to “hold its own” but looks particularly handsome when stacked with additional boxes of varying sizes, colors and designs.
